The International Castor Oil Association is saddened to announce the passing of one of our esteemed members, Mr. Tavorn Tantiponganant of Thai Castor Oil Industries Co., Ltd .
“It is with great sorrow that I inform the ICOA of the passing of Mr. Tavorn Tantiponganant, Chairman of Thai Castor Oil Industries Co., Ltd., and a titan in the castor oil industry. He passed away yesterday on the 4th of February 2021 peacefully in Bangkok. Although still with much grief and sorrow over his passing, everyone in Mr. Tavorn’s family has remained strong, as this would have been what Mr. Tavorn would have wanted. “
“Mr.Tavorn was a very special person to all of us; either as a father, a mentor, a leader, and for many, all these things combined. In the Thai language, “Tavorn” means perpetual. It is most appropriate, as his legacy and contribution to the castor oil industry will continue to live on indefinitely. He will always be remembered for his professionalism, positivity, and sense of humor in the castor oil industry. The castor oil industry will surely be different without him. “
